Where I STand
Inflation/Cost of living
- End Forever-War and funding of wars, invest that money at home.
- Penalize companies that have and/or continue to engage in price gouging, particularly when it comes to food/groceries.
- Pressure Federal Reserve to begin dropping interest rates.
- Affordable homes/rent - including using the Sherman Act against entities like Blackrock for buying up large swaths of the housing market.
- Restore the Child Tax Credit
Better Jobs/Better Wages
- Labor/Unionization, harsh penalties for companies involved in union busting
- Pass the Protecting the Right to Organize (PRO) Act
- Raising federal minimum wage, then have it increase at the rate of inflation going forward.
- Tax large corporations whose employees' wages still qualify them for government benefits. Make tax more burdensome than paying employees would be.
- Tax large corporations that send jobs overseas. Make tax more burdensome than keeping onshore employees would be.
- Put serious guardrails on Artificial Intelligence, as it is projected to eliminate 73 million US jobs in 5 years.
Health Care
- Solidify Social Security/Medicare, never privatize it.
- Expand Medicare coverage to include vision, dental, hearing.
- Eliminate the need for Medicare supplemental plans
- Universal Healthcare (not just "access to" healthcare), whether it be a public option or a single payer system, we must cut costly middlemen.
- I support bodily autonomy, While I hate the idea of abortion, it's not the government’s place to stop women from having them, at least up until a designated threshold of the pregnancy. I also do not support vaccine mandates, those that were imposed on citizens during COVID, and any attempts to impose them in the future.
I oppose
- Israel's Genocide in Gaza and the US funding of it
- War/Military Industrial Complex/Regime Change Operations.
- Corporate Capture of Regulatory Agencies.
- Corporate Capture of Media:
-We must go back to banning pharmaceutical advertising on TV, in print, on social media.
-We must ban defense contractors from advertising on TV, in print, on social media.
-We must bring back media ownership limits that existed before 1996 Telecommunications Act.
-We must breakup the six major media companies.
- Censorship:
-We must end all government interference in social media and media.
- The Surveillance State:
-We must not allow Central Bank Digital Currency (CBDCs).
-We must stop warrant-less spying on US citizens by the government.
-We must outlaw government agencies buying user data from third party companies.
- The expansion of Second Amendment restrictions.
I support
- CEASEFIRE in Gaza Now! Cut funding to Israel and use our leverage to end the death and destruction.
- Removing Cannabis from Schedule I list, essentially legalizing it, putting federal parameters in place to prevent industry consolidation by large entities.
- Dropping all charges against Julian Assange and freeing him from prison.
- Whistleblower protections, we must drop charges against Edward Snowden, allow his return to the US.
- Term limits on Senators and Representatives.
- Campaign Finance reform/getting big money out of elections.
- Rank-Choice voting.
